The Production and Processing Process of Welded Flanges

The welded flange is a part that connects pipes, and is connected to the pipe end. There are holes in the welding flange, and bolts make the two flanges tightly connected. So how should we all produce and process welded flanges in general?

The production and processing process in welded flanges is specifically introduced as follows:

1. Whether the annealing temperature of welded flanges reaches the specified temperature or not, the weld treatment generally adopts solution heat treatment, which is commonly called "annealing", and the temperature range is from 1040 to 1120℃.

2. Annealing atmosphere: welded flanges generally use pure hydrogen as annealing atmosphere, and the purity of the atmosphere is over 99.99%. If the other part of the atmosphere is inert gas, the purity can be lower.

3. Pressure of protective gas in welded flanges:
To prevent slight leakage in welded flanges, the protective gas in the furnace should maintain a certain positive pressure. If it is hydrogen protective gas, it is generally required to be above 20kBar.

4. Sealing of welded flange furnace body: The bright annealing furnace of welded flanges should be closed and isolated from the outside air. When hydrogen is used as protective gas, only one vent is open.

5. Welded flanges process the water vapor in the casting furnace. On the one hand, check whether the furnace body materials are dry. When the furnace is first loaded, the furnace body materials must be dried. Second, whether there are too many water stains left in the flange pipe fittings entering the furnace, and don't leak into it, otherwise the atmosphere of the furnace will be destroyed.
